To the(ww.-Dear) editor,
I was read(gr.) your article "Righting a Wrong" in the weekend newspaper, in which you discussed affirmative action for women. I was reading too(gr.+phr.) the response letter from Jeffery Hartmann, and I must to(מיותר) say that I am(gr.) not completely agree with his letter. It's true that today there is more equality between men and women, but it's not enough.
I think that there are some(ww.) reasons to have affirmative action for women today. First of all, it's true that there are women in high-level jobs, (more) than in the past. But at a lot of(phr.-there many) cases in which woman(ww.-write the plural form) is(gr.) at the same as man as role(phr.), the women's salary is lower than the men's salary.
Secondly, the acceptance conditions for women are different for(ww.-than) men. For women, it is more difficult to be accepted to the job because, in the past certain jobs were designated only for men for the say that women couldn't able do that(gr.). So now, when women can(ww.) accepted to those jobs, there is bigger expectations from them.
So yes, it's true that it's the time to changed(gr.) our ideas. But, not about affirmative action for women , however, about women's rights in their workplace(phr.).
Sincerely yours,
Dana Hen.
